On February 21, 2018, we partnered with Temple University, New Kensington Community Development Corporation, and Memphis Street Academy to organize a community design workshop to generate urban design ideas for vacant and underused old industrial lands near Lehigh Viaduct in Philadelphia. This event was part of our EPA-sponsored Brownfields area-wide planning project. About 50 community residents, business owners, developers, and other stakeholders participated in this event and offered their valuable design ideas. Faculty and students from Rowan and Temple University assisted us with event organization and group facilitation.
