Community perceptions of food insecurity and healthy food access
in Camden, NJ
In spring 2022, eight motivated students from the Planning Studio, offered by Rowan University's undergraduate and graduate planning programs, are studying community food insecurity and food inequity issues in Camden, NJ, with a focus on Waterfront South and Bergen Square neighborhoods. The studio is collaborating with Camden-based nonprofit Invincible City and Rowan University Community Planning + Visualization Lab. The final report will be presented to neighborhood residents and stakeholders. This webpage provides live updates on the project, different activities, and major findings and recommendations. The studio ends in early May, 2022.
